Toronto Newcomers Club aims to put those new to Toronto in touch with one another in a variety of informal settings.
New members are introduced at the monthly coffee mornings where they can meet existing members. They are encouraged to join one or more of the many interest groups.
Interest groups allow members to meet while doing something they enjoy. Meeting venues for activities can be as varied as museums, restaurants, ravines or private homes.
Groups may be just a few people or a large crowd, meeting in the daytime or evening, monthly or weekly. The activities are based on members’ talents, interests and the opportunities which exist in the area. There are two annual meetings for the entire membership.
Joining a session is as simple as phoning the host or convenor to indicate your wish to attend.
There are also activities where partners are active participants.
